The worst part about laying in bed at night, trying to fall asleep, is that your mind runs wild. It fills with things you’ve been trying to avoid all day and the nightmares that live deep in your brain that not a pill, a therapist, or even your self can fix. You’re stuck and broken and hyperventilating until you fall asleep into the dream version of it. Just when you think things can’t get any worse, they always do. You always do.
